CHRISTMAS OVER AND A NEW YEAR TO BEGIN

My Parents, Brother and Sister and Family (The Clan)

I am glad but sad another Christmas has came and gone. Jason is a Christmas lover and he gets down after the holidays end. I just want the house to be put back into order. I know that we are so blessed when we have more the others and I am thankful for all we have been blessed with. This time of year has brought me joy and sadness. I find joy in the kids when they are excited to open that present from Santa and find out that Santa has drank all his milk and ate all his cookies. I find sadness in those who I am close to that are dealing with tough situations in their lives. I hope those that need more pray and allow God to do is thing.
The first Year for Blake to start Getting Excited

Morgan with her DS!!!!!

We had a busy holiday. Morgan had her last swim lesson on Tuesday then we went out for dinner and out to look at Christmas lights. When we got home Morgan got sick and Jason and I spent the night cleaning up bedding and the bathroom along with me giving Morgan a bath. Shortly after I went to lay back down, I got sick. I ended up sleeping on the coach all night long. I think we both had the flu and on Christmas Eve we laid around all day until we had to get ready to go spend some time with family. We went to church then over to Jason's Mom's house to get together with his side of the family then we had to hurry over to my side to spend some time with them. It was late when we got home and I still had wrapping to do along with getting the presents under the tree.
This is a photo of the kids getting Santa's Plate Ready

Christmas day we opened gift together. The kids were excited. We then got dressed and went over to my mom and dads to spend some time opening gifts with them. My bother and sister and their families were all there. It is crazy but fun. The kids are spoiled. They played for awhile then we headed over to Jason's mom and dads to do gifts. It was a little less crazy over there since there is fewer of us. After eating super and chilling out we took the kids home for bed. Blake did not have a nap and he was a walking mess. He fell off the kitchen chair he was so tired. Thanks to everyone for a great holiday season. I look forward to the new year and really hope God blesses all of us with nothing but great things.

THE BIG COUNTDOWN

With Christmas five days away I finally feel ready to enjoy family time. Enjoying time with the ones you love means more this season then ever. My family has had some of the worst news you can have at a time of the year it should be upbeat. My dad has found out he has cancer. With that on my mind often and wanting to do all I can, I think just being with the ones you love will mean the most to my family this year.

Of course Morgan can't wait and the countdown is on. Everyday we discuss how many more days. I love seeing the excitement in her eyes and do not ever want her to loose that spirit in her heart. My cards are all out, presents are all bought, now I need to finish wrapping. That is the challenge with the little ones around.

We had our last practice at church for the kids part of service on Christmas Eve. I love seeing all the kids taking part and Christmas Eve service just sets the mood for the season. It is something I treasure always have and always will. I hope my kids carry on the tradition. With school delays and cancellations off and on all last week, Morgan did fit in her school party and gift exchange. I was there along with Blake to help and enjoyed the time with her.

The kids have their Daycare party Monday and then watch out the crazy fun begins. I just want to cherish the days with loved ones and I want to remind myself not to sweet the little things. It always will work out in the end.

Merry Christmas!!!!

Freckles-Do they Go Away??

A moment I want to remember about Morgan is the conversation in the bathroom one mourning. We were getting ready and Morgan comes up to me and said "Mommy I want to tell you something but do not tell anyone." She said "look at my freckle on my finger." I told her she has had that since she was a baby. Then she followed with "Mommy when do freckles go away" I never thought I would have to answer a question like that. You just never know what they may ask.

THE NEW LITTLE DEER HUNTER

Second season shot gun is open this weekend. I believe that Jason has a new partner to help him find deer. Blake got a pop gun from Santa at Christy's house and Morgan and Blake have been playing deer hunting. The other day Blake found his baby hat, the one you get in the hospital, and Iowa jacket and got dressed to go deer hunting. I asked him where he was going and he told me deer hunting with Brian.

Jason and Brian have planned a few deer seasons together and Blake wants to join in. Now that he has his own gun I think he is ready. As he got dressed and gun in hand he headed for the basement steps to get his boots on. They were my boots but they worked for him. I wish I had gotten a picture to share it was the funniest thing ever. Jason and I got a good laugh. He kept saying he was going hunting with Brian.

The new game Morgan and Blake have been playing also goes like this. Morgan shoot deer-find deer. They shoot and then go looking for the deer then find the deer and run screaming around the house. Thanks Christy for such great entertainment. Blake's first gun and great fun.

Don't think this gets Blake out of his girl phase. Today on the way to daycare Blake wanted to take his baby with him. I thought he would forget by the time we left but no. He continued to carry it out to the car. I asked him if he wanted to take it in to Krystal and sure enough he said yes. Krystal said he would not share the baby at daycare for awhile. I guess he still has a soft side. Sorry Jason he likes to love on babies and take care of them. That is not a bad thing. Jason was so embarrassed when I told him his son wanted to take his baby with him. He blames me for the softer side of Blake.

SEASON FULL SWING AHEAD

Well now that I have been trying to blog for about a week and it has not worked, I am trying to catch up on things. It finally is working and saving my post. I am excited. I get to catch up. An update on the tree situation.( Enjoy my photo of my tree.) I now have a few gifts wrapped and under the tree. It is up and fully decorated with lights and all. I am done decorating and the season is in full swing. I have began to work on Christmas cards and will begin my work ones soon. Over the weekend we spent time doing our annual Christmas cookie baking.

On Saturday we went to spent the day baking cookies with Jason's Mom, Grandma and Aunt. I think they used around 25 lbs of flour that day. I sorted and sorted cookies so that all of our families could take some home to share. Know that so many of us want cookies it took all day to get them done. I mean all day, I did not get home until around 8:30 that night. I will share some photos of the finished product they are the best cookies in town.

On Sunday the kids had a Christmas Party with a visit from Santa. Morgan has been talking about Santa since she sat on his lab. Now Blake on the other hand. He is not sure of Santa. At our last night at M&M we had a special visit from Santa. I wanted the kids to sit together and Blake would not have a thing to do with it. He about took my neck off he was holding on so tight. So I thought maybe in a smaller setting he would do it. Even with only a few people around and in Christy's house Blake would not do it. We sat next to Santa on the coach. He would not have a thing to do with him. Since I was thinking of doing Christmas cards with the kids on Santa's lab I was a little disappointed. Jason and I took the kids to Fun City to see Santa and I was hoping I could bribe him into sitting wit Santa. I took candy with me and that did the trick. Blake was hesitant but I handed him candy and that is all it took. He did not have a lot to say but he sat and made his mommy proud for pictures. I then decided not to do my cards with them but at least I captured the moment. Since Santa had brought Blake a pop gun his knew thing is deer hunting. I will blog about that later. In the photo of Blake and Santa you have to look at the candy he is holding onto for deer live. Enjoy.

My work Christmas party is over and our girl scout troop went Christmas singing tonight at the new Sunny brook home. After we were done singing we took the troop to Happy Joe's for pizza. I hope the girls enjoyed the night and learned to give to the older community starting by giving them some homemade Christmas cards they made.

This shows how fast the season is going. Before we know it it will be over and another year past. I had a meeting and if anyone wants Girl Scout cookies let me know. Morgan is going to be selling them for the first time.
Hope everyone is enjoying the Season.

To Decorate Or Not To Decorate????

Decorating it used to be so fun. Jason and I used to decorate for christmas the weekend after Thanksgiving. We would get the tree done on a Sunday afternoon. This year we decided to do it a little sooner since Thanksgiving is later. Well good thing we did. The story begings by getting the tree upstairs. Our box had gotton wet when this summer we had a lot of rain and the basement leaked. The box was in an area that got wet. So Jason had to bring the tree up tote by tote and dropped the pieces on the living room floor. After that set back we got started only to find out the color coding directions were missing. We had to guess how the tree went together. That optical was completed tree looks good. Next is the lights. I can not tell you how much I dislike lights. We untangle, test and throw away half the lights that were working last year but stopped in the box over the course of the year. Days pass and the bare tree stood. I went out a few days later and bought new lights. We were busy the next evening and so Jason and I have now late at night got a few sets of lights on the tree. A few more days pass and Jason decides tonight to do the outside lights. He gets the hedge lights up and next is the house lights. Most of those lights do not work. So now we need to purchase new outside lights. We load up the kids and off to Big Lots to get a few more boxes. A side note we bought a few boxes at the end of the year last year and the boxes were 6.00 this year the same boxes were 6.50. So we get home and the lady at the store forgets to give us our box of lights. Jason goes back out to pick those lights up and comes home to finish. Now he needs more hooks to hang the lights since at Halloween he threw most of them off the roof when he continued to break them. Along with that the silhouettes two of the five work and most places do not sell them anymore. Jason is so disappointed. Well the Christmas tree has yet to see the rest of the lights or ornaments and the other decorations are still packed away. I am not sure if we will get finished by Chritmas. Is all this worth it??? I hope the kids enjoy the finished product.

Why????

Blake is always wanting to learn things. His new phase is Why?? Daddy what you doin? Why?

Jason and I were driving with the kids home from the store and Blake was trying to get Jason's attention when Jason finally answered and said What Blake? Blake responded by saying What are you doin and Why? Jason said to me. I knew he was going to say that. He is very predictable because every other word out of his mouth is Why.

Morgan has been singing songs to him as well lately. It goes a little something like "Pant's on Fire" I see your underpants. Now Blake say's I see your underpants to me along with at bath time saying I get my underpants. Maybe he will want a real pair instead of his diaper. I can only hope that this teaching that Morgan is providing will turn into something positive.

Morgan's Busy Weekend

I got thru the weekend with Morgan's Parties. We had a house full on Friday Night with Family. Morgan was excited to finally get to open gifts. Thanks to all those who came and made her day special. Along with her party came a few other memories for the day. Morgan fell at school on

Friday at recess. I again got a call from the school nurse. I think this makes around four times for the year already. I figured I would be getting calls from the principal but I guess she decided to behave and have injury's instead. She scraped her nose and lip and had some blood at school. I think an icepack was all that was needed. But the fun did not stop there.
Oh after the party on Friday, Morgan had started to have some cold systems like the rest of us. Now with this child we do not get just a cold. The asthma started in. From 8-11 at night she coughed and threw up. It was non stop. I called the on call doctor and he was very nice. I have been down this road a million times before but I could not get the coughing to stop with the inhaler. I need the machine again but I had no meds. Morgan finally fell asleep and started in again at around 1 in the morning. It was a long night and on top of it all Blake woke up crying.

On Sat I got meds from the doctor on Call which was our doctor. The usual is what the told me I needed to do and watch her. On Sat night another attack come on and we started all over again. I had Hy-vee bring the meds to me and worked thru it with a treatment every hour on the hour to get it under control. I was worried about another bad night so we talked to the doctor again to get the steroid in case we needed it. It is a last resort but at that point I needed an outlet. She did sleep thru the night.

On Sunday we had her friend party at Happy Joes. She had a lot of fun and it made cleanup easy. Blake stayed with his grandma and grandpa so I only had to focus on her. I have some pics to view of the parties. Well between the parties and the asthma I think little Morgan had her fill. I am still working on the asthma as we speak. I had her to bed and she began a spell again. She is on the machine and well we will see how it goes.

BIRTHDAY GIRL

Today is Morgan's B-day. I surprised her by taking her lunch to school from subway and a card and Balloon. She was standing in line to walk to the lunch room and I walked towards her she said Mommy. I asked her if she was surprised and she said yes. I took her card and Balloon to her room for her and then picked her up and hour later. It was an early out day.

Then when Morgan got home I showed her bedroom to her. I organized and moved furniture around to give it a new look. She was excited. Tonight she gets to go to church group and they will sing happy birthday to her. So even without her party today I think she felt like it was her birthday. We will celebrate Friday with Family and Sunday with Friends. Let the Parties Begin. I can not believe my little girl is six. Happy Birthday Morgan.

FALL FUN

We had fun taking the kids around my parents house for trick or treat. It was nice that it was light out for awhile. Morgan was a trooper, Blake was tired and did not want to walk except to the door to get his candy. This year was fun since Blake did have an idea of what to do. He said thank you a lot to make his mommy proud. Morgan did not have time to wait around on her brother. My little frog and my little cheerleader looked cute and enjoyed the evening. We seen lots of families we knew and enjoyed taking a walk around the neighborhood.

I also have a few photos from the day the kids and I raked some leaves and jumped around in them. They had fun with it for a while while I did accomplish getting a few leaves raked up. The weather has been great to have gotten to do a few more outdoor activities with them. I know it is short lived so we tried to enjoy it the best we could.

SICK BABY GIRL

I got a call from the school nurse today. My little girl was in the nurse station sick. She had gotten sick during music class and a few other times on her way to the nurse. While running around a 103-104 temp Morgan sat and waited for me to arrive. I went in to get her and she looked nervous. I felt bad and took her home. We worked on getting her temp down but no sooner than I got meds into her and changed her she laid down and feel asleep. She was still running a fever when she went to bed tonight and had still been getting sick all evening. I will see how she feels in the morning.

Not only has Morgan been sick but, Blake and I have also had colds and a bug with us. I hope it all leaves soon so we can all be back to 100%

THE SECOND TOOTH

I woke up on Tuesday to find Morgan next to my bed saying she just lost her tooth. I asked her where her tooth was and she told me in her mount. She had lost it early in the morning on tuesday October 28th. Her new teeth are coming in very well so she will not be toothless for long. I just still can't believe I have a child loosing teeth. This just reminds me of how fast life goes. Morgan and I have been busy will girl scout planning and are looking forward to doing things with our group of soon to be nine girls. We have our first school conference on Thursday and are looking forward to going trick or treting with the kids on Friday.

Morgan is going as a cheerleader and Blake is going as a frog. I will post some pics after are night of fun. Our family went to Kathy's pumpkin patch over the weekend and we had a very windy and cool outing. We did not eat or drink any of there food we did take subway with us. I think we will be okay with the scare going on down there. The kids loved the corn pile and I could have left Blake there all day. Take a look at some of the pictures of them. Memories are so special to us.

Watch for more info to come but my little darling is getting ready to turn six. I will be working on her Birthday Party and keep you all posted. Enjoy our little family update.

OH NO- I LOST MY FIRST TOOTH

For about a month or so we have been dealing with learning about teeth. From our visit in Aug to the dentist till tonight. In Aug Morgan was getting her six year molars in. We were shocked and excited at the same time. Morgan started getting interested in her teeth asking lots of questions. Before were knew it she had her front two bottom teeth loose. She was so excited. Then a few weeks later she was feeling her teeth and I looked in her mouth only to find her new teeth were squezzing in behind them. This all seemed to develop so quickly and it reminded me that my little girl was growing up so fast.

Tonight I was drying Morgan off after her bath and went to wipe her face. Her front tooth had over the last couple of days bleed a little and was just hanging in there. After wiping her face I heard her tooth fall into the tub. I thought the world ended when Morgan lost it. She could not believe her tooth feel out then she started crying because her mouth was bleeding. Within a few minutes no more blood and she wanted to call her grandparents and tell them she lost her first tooth.

The rest of the night was about this tooth. It is now resting next to her bed in a baggie waiting for the tooth fairy to come. As I was lying with her she got scared the tooth fairy was coming and could not fall asleep. She did not want the fairy to get her. I had to reassure her things would be okay and it was like Santa or the Easter bunny coming at night to leave good things. We talked for a few minutes and I made her a promise Just like God made a promise to us that I would not let any one get her. She then rested and feel fast asleep.

One other note on that tooth- she asked me how much money the tooth fairy would leave. She is only five and wants to find out how much money she will get. What do I have coming.

My little girl is gettinig so big. I am sad but excited for the next phase with Morgan. She is a joy every day. Enjoy the photos of my toothless little girl.

My family is looking forward to a fun weekend. Maybe Mom more than the others. Jason and I are going to see a movie together which we have not done in the theaters since Titantic. I know it has been forever. We are looking forward to watching Fireproof and then on Sat morning we are going to the pumpkin patch with the kids. I love this time of year and all the fall colors. We need to get a few pumpkins so the kids can carve them for Halloween. Then on Sat night I am going to a corn maze. Then Spoonriver on Sunday. This time of year is wonderful to spend with family and friends. Iwill keep you posted with some pics of our weekend to come.

Getting Caught Up

I have been running around like crazy lately. We took our weekend trip to
Davenport with the kids for the field trip with school for Morgan and to take Blake and Morgan to Chucke Cheese for Blakes Birthday. The kids had a blast. I have a few photos to share. That weekend we also had my cousins wedding and celebrated Blakes Birthday with family and friends on Sunday. I feel like I did not even catch my breath. I was thinking work would be slower and I have a few things I am working on as well so I stayed busy all week. I did take a few days to work from home and Blake and I took a walk to school to get Morgan one day and walked back home. That was a good distance so Morgan was tired. The next day Blake and I took a little bike ride. I hope to be able to ride our bikes tommorrow if the weather is nice. I love doing that with the kids and they love it to. Blake had his first dentist apt today and all went well except they wanted to have me work on getting rid of his "ME ME" that is what we call his pacifier. That will be a challenge because he loves it and it is his comfort. It is starting to work on his jaw line and development. That means I need to slowly (the key word) get rid of it. Along the line of teeth, Morgan has her bottom two front teeht loose. This just started the month of Septemper. She is excited and had to tell me her good news. When she went for her check-up the dentist said her six year molars were coming in and she would start to get some loose teeth. All four were working on coming in this summer.

I want to wish my Son and Husband a Happy Birthday- and let Morgan know I am proud of all her work at school. She has been doing so much this past Month(Sept). Now that the Birthday's are done we are looking forward to Halloween and a few fall outings to come. I will keep you posted!!! Enjoy the photos of are past few weeks of fun with the Waste Family.

DADDY'S BACK

Well Jason is back and we are so glad. He had training all week long and that makes twice the work for me. With little help means I am ready for a break. We manage to make do. Looking forward to having the boys of the house Birthday's this week to come. Jason's is on Wed and Blake's on Friday. I can't believe he is going to be two. We will be having a little party for the both of them. On Friday I get to go on Morgan's first field trip of the year. We are going to the zoo in the Quad Cities. After that we are going to stay up their and let the kids enjoy Chucke Cheese for Blake's big Day. I am not sure if we will drive home or stay the night with the kids. I am looking forward to that.
I received Morgan's photos from Brandi. I love them all and can't wait to share them with everyone. I will be doing Christmas gifts with them for the grandma's. Blake is diffently acting his age my starting the terrible two's. He got bit at daycare this week and now he thinks he can say his sister bites him to get her in trouble. Oh the fun is just beginning. The pleasure's of being a mommy.

It's Been Awhile

I feel like time has flown by. I have had a few busy weeks with work and getting back into our fall routine. Morgan and I had our first night of M&M tonight. M&M is our kid church night. I mentor the kids and I do get a lot of joy out of being with them and voluntering my time to be there. Dance started back up this week as well. Morgan is so excited that she knows a few girls in her dance class. Now things are full swing ahead for the fall. The cooler weather has been great and Jason and I plan on working some more on our land project. We hope to get the barn down in a few weeks and get some dirt moved. We would love to get the new barn up and be able to enjoy it up there some more.

My little man has began to chatter so much. He copies everything we say. I thought I would be spending some one on one time with him since Morgan is back in school but that has not happened yet. The months to come I am sure we will be bonding. I think he thinks I am boring. He misses his sister as he say's Morgan. It it so cute to hear him say her name. It has been sissy to him and now he copies us and says "Morgan stop". He is getting a little bossy.

A Few Moments to Spare

I need to catch up after a busy week and weekend. I had my garage sale to unload some more of Morgan's clothes. I had an average sale. I am going to take some to resale and try that as well. One sale at a time to get rid of stuff. Morgan has officially started kidergarten. That made for an exciting and busy week last week. Today was the first day the entire class were together. They brought them back in half classes for her grade. I am glad but sad as well. Today I was dropping her off and I asked her to give me a kiss. She did and it was an okay one so I told her to give mommy a good kiss. In the meantime I looked up and two little boys were walking in front of the car and she got out and did not kiss me again. I was sad that she was a little embarassed to kiss her mommy. I did get a good kiss before bed tonight to make up for it. I just can not believe I have a child in school all day. The time goes by so fast. Those are the times I thank God for providing me in my line of work and also allowing me to spead time with my children. I know that someday I will get the opportunity to do more with me work during the day. Some days I feel like I might not hang with the other realtors in sales and I want to do the best in all I do. God does know what is best and being with my babies is what I will never get back. I got some time to sit and watch Morgan and Blake on the coach the other day. You have to watch this little video moment I captured. I love them both so much and this is what makes being a mom so wonderful. Enjoy!!!

Words that Kids Choose

Morgan and Blake were playing while I was doing super. For once they left the kitchen instead of standig at my feet. They were screaming and hiding from each other when Morgan comes running in the kitchen holding her air out of her face and said " I just scared the S out of Brother". Jason and I were shocked and did not know what to say at first. She did get time and and a talking to. Kids what they choose to say and do that is out of our control

Long Week

I had a long week and I am looking forward to the weekend. I had CE hours this week again and had to be gone. I also had another break down only this time it involved a personnel situation. I am glad for the good friends I have been blessed to have in my life. At times like these it makes you appreciate the finer things in life. I will move forward the best I can and hope in the end God will guide me and remind me of where my focus should be. I am looking forward to the weekend and our GIRLS NIGHT. And for the record I confirmed Blakes ear infection with the Docotor Monday and he is on Meds. Morgan had asthma problems start up this week with two nights of getting sick at bedtime and now she is saying her ear hurts. And I had my Granma to the doctor on Tues to find out why she had been feeling weak and dizzy all weekend. Life can be trying and I try to make the best of it. When times get tough I cherish the sweet comments from my kids like when Morgan say's "Mommy I want to lay with you, I love you mommy"and wipes away tears from my eyes. That is what is important.

Big Weekend with a Big Break Down

We had another eventfull weekend. Friday night we went on our Group Scavanger Hunt. It was a lot of fun. I should have pictures to share when I get our from Kelly. My camera was not charged. That is not the first time that has happened at an important time. Just my luck. Seeing Jason being the greeter at Wal-mart was a good laugh. Dinner was nice and it was great for everyone to meet the other side of our group. That is the guys joined us for the big event.

On Saturday I went for a walk early which was nice then I attended a baby shower. That gives me the thought of having another baby. It just reminds me of how preciuos little ones are. During the afternoon we attended a family reunion for Jason's family. It was at Perkins Park. It was nice seeing the Waste side of the family which we do not see often. The kids had fun at the Park and Morgan always makes a friend. She found the little ones and ran around with them. Blake wanted to go thru the tunnels and enjoyed the slide. He kept telling me to catch me Mommy and he wanted Daddy to help him up the step to go down again.

On Sunday I walked again. I was dedicated this weekend. It was such a nice weekend to be outside. My parents were going on a boat ride so they said we should take our boat out. We had not had it out this year due to the flooding. We got the boat ready and Mike and Christy went and my Brother Tim and Amy went. We boated up river fine, checked out the flood damage at lunch and then went to meet our family downriver and the boat would not start. We thought it was something simple but we never did get it fixed. So the story goes, we got towed by my uncle and we went to a sandbar and grilled out food. Jason continued to work on the boat but we never did get it going. We enjoyed the afternoon and took some photos of the kids the best we could do for the situation we were in. I am not sure the Ford family will want to attend another outing with us. I felt like we were with the Wiseman clan. Their boat always would be the one to break down. Amazing-the big breakdown and Jason and I were part of it. All was well and the kids were exhausted. Blake had not slept the night before because of his ears so he was ready to go to bed tonight. All asleep and ready for another week.

Weeked Parties

This weeked was very eventful. We had a family birthday party in Ft. Madison for Jason's grandpa and cousin. We had wonderful sweetcorn again. Tis the season. Then on Sat. I watched Kaley and had the scare of my life. I had to leave for one hour to show a house and Jason was instructed to not let the kids eat while I was gone. Kaley has allergies to many food items and I did not want him to go there. On the way home I called to check in and then he informs me the girls were eating goldfish. I freaked out and called Shawna. Of course she was not suppose to have those. I get in check her over and all seemed well. I still was not conviced she was okay. I talked to Shawna for a few minutes and everythink seemed normal as could be. I did want to kill Jason at that moment in time and could not believe he did not know they were in eating those. Needless to say he went out to mow and I watched the kids. We had a wedding Sat night and on Sunday we had Alyvia's birthday party along with my cousin Megan's.

The kids swam and jumped in the jump house. It was a nice little night. Blake digs playing with the girls. He needs more boy playmates. He thinks that all the there is is purses, dolls, dishes and things that are pink. He loved playing with all of Alyvia's new toy's including her new pink bike. Take a peek at the picture I took. Jason just loves all this. Not sure how to solve the problem. What can I say-he likes to play house, kithcen, shopping and pink things.

Deer

Last Wed. Jason had to work overtime and the kids and I went to eat at my in-laws house. My mother in-law has us over once a week for dinner. It is nice to have someone else do the cooking one night a week. Usually my bother in-law shows up and the kids get a chance to see him. It's nice to visit and catch up with them. Well back to what I was going to say-We were getting ready to leave and Blake started saying deer -deer. I looked up and out the back window there was two deer eating in the backyard. The kids ran up to the window and the deer looked up and stared at us. The kids must of been loud enough that the deer heard them. That would not surprise me any. The went back to eating. Then we looked out the patio door and there was two more deer out eating. By this time Morgan and Blake were excited. Grandpa took them outside so I could get them home and he took them over by the garage to see if there was anymore deer and sure enought five deer ran into the woods. Now the kids are always looking for deer at Grandma and Grandpa's. We joked around that daddy should just go sit at grandma's to go deer hunting. On the drive home Morgan and I were talking about the deer and we looked out at the field on Madison street and show two more deer. That is right that makes a total of eleven deer in a matter of 15 minutes. What a night for the kids. I am going to have to take some pictures next time.

BUSY

Today was registration for Morgan for school. I have mixed emotions on sending my first child to school all day everyday. I am ready but kindof sad. Morgan needs something to do but hang at my feet during the day. There was a line when we got there and we knew a lot of people. I think Morgan is looking forward to going to Blackhawk. Blake on the other hand was hot and tired. He did not care to be there and he got mad laid on the floor and was kicking the lady behind us. It was a treat. I brought him home and feed him lunch then he went to bed.
Jason has had some overtime with the few recent storms that have went thru the area and I am glad he is getting some overtime. We do have a lot around the house to finish and I would like to see that get done but the overtime money is nice since we have some things to pay off. Work for me as usual keeps me busy. Not always money but some busy work to take care of. This weekend will be busy and I am sure the kids will find some way to amuse me. Morgan took her first swim lesson tonight and my mother in law is taking her. Morgan is a little nervous about water and she did not like it and said she could not touch. She came home and told me she like the little pool at Fun City. Not sure what I am going to do about that yet. Never a dull moment around here.

Naptimes are Great

Well, I am trying to keep up on this. Blake has layed down for his nap and Morgan is playing. With that time I am going to catch up on our weekend. I just got done with a busy week at VBS at our church. For those that do not know I am the director for the second year in a row. I do enjoy it, but it just takes a lot of time. I love to keep active with things like that. We had around 120 kids each night with a pool party under the lights at Dankwart park pool. I was not going to attend that so I could go home and put the kids to bed ( and myself after the long week), but Morgan wanted to go and cried the entire way home so I gave in.
With the week at end I was looking forward to spending some time with Jason and Blake. We did a lot of yard work on Saturday. My parents took up all their patio and torn down their deck. They had some plants they needed to move so I told them I would take them. My parents came by so I needed to plant them in my yard. I was moving rock with the shovel and Blake decided he needed to help. We have two little shovels my neighbor gave us that her kids did not play with anymore. We keep them in the garage. Blake had walked into the garage and before I knew it he had his shovel and was helping me move rock. I could not believe that he remembered they were in the garage or that he knew what he needed to do. My parents were amazed at his actions so we let Blake help. The kids love being outside and Blake again is all boy with dirt as his best friend.

Saturday night Jason and I had a date night. We did go to super together and then the big plans were to go to the grocery store. I can not believe how much groceries are costing. We came home to put them away and Jason's parents brought the kids home. I can tell we are getting old when our date is going to the grocery store. It did go a lot faster than dragging the kids along.

I did try asking Jason what he thought about a third kid. We did not get far on that conversation.

Sunday was church and we road tripped up Hwy 99 to get some sweet corn. I had been wanting to see across the river so we first went to the park to attempt to get the kids pictures. That was trying. I love the flowers and fountain. It is peacefull out their. The kids thought otherwise. So we loaded up and headed over the bridge. It is amazing to me what damage water can do. The wait took awhile but I did get a few photos to have as a reminder of this tragic event. My parents asked us over for super and we had sweet corn over at their house. It is nice just spending some time with the family. It was an enjoyable weekend with little real estate work. Lets see what the week brings.

Just the Beginning

I have enjoyed reading everyone's blogs that I thought I should try it to keep a little snap shot in time of my family. There diffently is never a dull moment in our household. I am not as great a writer as many of you but I will give it a try. Jason and I have been together for around 14 years now and married seven of those. We met working at Hy-vee together. I never really understood why Jason would always come into Hy-vee and go thru my checkout with his friend Kirk. They would always by a pop and chat with me for a few minutes then leave. One night they came in and they asked me to go to a party with them. I did and my dear friend Shawna came along. I really was more interested in Jason's other friend and still had no idea he had interest in me. Well from that moment in time Jason and I started our journey together and oh what a journey it has been. We got engaged the morning I graduated college in 2000 from WIU, we married April 28th, 2001 and found out we were having our first baby in Feb of 2002. On November 12, 2002 we had our first child Morgan Oliva Waste. That is a day I will never forget. It just seems like yesterday I was in the room getting ready to have her.

Morgan was not and is not alway the easiest thing. She struggled with Asthma much of her baby days and mom and dad got the best of that. Lack of sleep and a lot of vommiting and doctor visits sum that up. Christy got a little taste of that on one of our shopping trips. Morgan is now five and going to be starting kindergarden in the fall. I can't believe were the time has went. But in the midst of Morgan we found out in Jan of 2006 that we were going to have another baby.

Blake Aaron Waste was born on September 26th, 2006. A boy and our girl we are so blessed with one of each. Boy's are different. The most recent difference that I got to experince is on our short trip to St.louis this past weekend. We took the kids swimming one evening in the hotel and my little Blake thought he was big enough to swim on his own and did not want me to hold him in aound 3-4 foot of water. Morgan at that age would not let go of me and was scared out of her mind. The joys of Motherhood. I try to capture each moment. Blake is diffently all boy and I enjoy him every day. Some days more than others.

I am diffenetly understanding motherhood more and more every day with the two of them. They have a love-hate relationship. This is just the beginning.
