CHRISTMAS OVER AND A NEW YEAR TO BEGIN

My Parents, Brother and Sister and Family (The Clan)

I am glad but sad another Christmas has came and gone. Jason is a Christmas lover and he gets down after the holidays end. I just want the house to be put back into order. I know that we are so blessed when we have more the others and I am thankful for all we have been blessed with. This time of year has brought me joy and sadness. I find joy in the kids when they are excited to open that present from Santa and find out that Santa has drank all his milk and ate all his cookies. I find sadness in those who I am close to that are dealing with tough situations in their lives. I hope those that need more pray and allow God to do is thing.
The first Year for Blake to start Getting Excited

Morgan with her DS!!!!!

We had a busy holiday. Morgan had her last swim lesson on Tuesday then we went out for dinner and out to look at Christmas lights. When we got home Morgan got sick and Jason and I spent the night cleaning up bedding and the bathroom along with me giving Morgan a bath. Shortly after I went to lay back down, I got sick. I ended up sleeping on the coach all night long. I think we both had the flu and on Christmas Eve we laid around all day until we had to get ready to go spend some time with family. We went to church then over to Jason's Mom's house to get together with his side of the family then we had to hurry over to my side to spend some time with them. It was late when we got home and I still had wrapping to do along with getting the presents under the tree.
This is a photo of the kids getting Santa's Plate Ready

Christmas day we opened gift together. The kids were excited. We then got dressed and went over to my mom and dads to spend some time opening gifts with them. My bother and sister and their families were all there. It is crazy but fun. The kids are spoiled. They played for awhile then we headed over to Jason's mom and dads to do gifts. It was a little less crazy over there since there is fewer of us. After eating super and chilling out we took the kids home for bed. Blake did not have a nap and he was a walking mess. He fell off the kitchen chair he was so tired. Thanks to everyone for a great holiday season. I look forward to the new year and really hope God blesses all of us with nothing but great things.

THE BIG COUNTDOWN

With Christmas five days away I finally feel ready to enjoy family time. Enjoying time with the ones you love means more this season then ever. My family has had some of the worst news you can have at a time of the year it should be upbeat. My dad has found out he has cancer. With that on my mind often and wanting to do all I can, I think just being with the ones you love will mean the most to my family this year.

Of course Morgan can't wait and the countdown is on. Everyday we discuss how many more days. I love seeing the excitement in her eyes and do not ever want her to loose that spirit in her heart. My cards are all out, presents are all bought, now I need to finish wrapping. That is the challenge with the little ones around.

We had our last practice at church for the kids part of service on Christmas Eve. I love seeing all the kids taking part and Christmas Eve service just sets the mood for the season. It is something I treasure always have and always will. I hope my kids carry on the tradition. With school delays and cancellations off and on all last week, Morgan did fit in her school party and gift exchange. I was there along with Blake to help and enjoyed the time with her.

The kids have their Daycare party Monday and then watch out the crazy fun begins. I just want to cherish the days with loved ones and I want to remind myself not to sweet the little things. It always will work out in the end.

Merry Christmas!!!!

Freckles-Do they Go Away??

A moment I want to remember about Morgan is the conversation in the bathroom one mourning. We were getting ready and Morgan comes up to me and said "Mommy I want to tell you something but do not tell anyone." She said "look at my freckle on my finger." I told her she has had that since she was a baby. Then she followed with "Mommy when do freckles go away" I never thought I would have to answer a question like that. You just never know what they may ask.

THE NEW LITTLE DEER HUNTER

Second season shot gun is open this weekend. I believe that Jason has a new partner to help him find deer. Blake got a pop gun from Santa at Christy's house and Morgan and Blake have been playing deer hunting. The other day Blake found his baby hat, the one you get in the hospital, and Iowa jacket and got dressed to go deer hunting. I asked him where he was going and he told me deer hunting with Brian.

Jason and Brian have planned a few deer seasons together and Blake wants to join in. Now that he has his own gun I think he is ready. As he got dressed and gun in hand he headed for the basement steps to get his boots on. They were my boots but they worked for him. I wish I had gotten a picture to share it was the funniest thing ever. Jason and I got a good laugh. He kept saying he was going hunting with Brian.

The new game Morgan and Blake have been playing also goes like this. Morgan shoot deer-find deer. They shoot and then go looking for the deer then find the deer and run screaming around the house. Thanks Christy for such great entertainment. Blake's first gun and great fun.

Don't think this gets Blake out of his girl phase. Today on the way to daycare Blake wanted to take his baby with him. I thought he would forget by the time we left but no. He continued to carry it out to the car. I asked him if he wanted to take it in to Krystal and sure enough he said yes. Krystal said he would not share the baby at daycare for awhile. I guess he still has a soft side. Sorry Jason he likes to love on babies and take care of them. That is not a bad thing. Jason was so embarrassed when I told him his son wanted to take his baby with him. He blames me for the softer side of Blake.

SEASON FULL SWING AHEAD

Well now that I have been trying to blog for about a week and it has not worked, I am trying to catch up on things. It finally is working and saving my post. I am excited. I get to catch up. An update on the tree situation.( Enjoy my photo of my tree.) I now have a few gifts wrapped and under the tree. It is up and fully decorated with lights and all. I am done decorating and the season is in full swing. I have began to work on Christmas cards and will begin my work ones soon. Over the weekend we spent time doing our annual Christmas cookie baking.

On Saturday we went to spent the day baking cookies with Jason's Mom, Grandma and Aunt. I think they used around 25 lbs of flour that day. I sorted and sorted cookies so that all of our families could take some home to share. Know that so many of us want cookies it took all day to get them done. I mean all day, I did not get home until around 8:30 that night. I will share some photos of the finished product they are the best cookies in town.

On Sunday the kids had a Christmas Party with a visit from Santa. Morgan has been talking about Santa since she sat on his lab. Now Blake on the other hand. He is not sure of Santa. At our last night at M&M we had a special visit from Santa. I wanted the kids to sit together and Blake would not have a thing to do with it. He about took my neck off he was holding on so tight. So I thought maybe in a smaller setting he would do it. Even with only a few people around and in Christy's house Blake would not do it. We sat next to Santa on the coach. He would not have a thing to do with him. Since I was thinking of doing Christmas cards with the kids on Santa's lab I was a little disappointed. Jason and I took the kids to Fun City to see Santa and I was hoping I could bribe him into sitting wit Santa. I took candy with me and that did the trick. Blake was hesitant but I handed him candy and that is all it took. He did not have a lot to say but he sat and made his mommy proud for pictures. I then decided not to do my cards with them but at least I captured the moment. Since Santa had brought Blake a pop gun his knew thing is deer hunting. I will blog about that later. In the photo of Blake and Santa you have to look at the candy he is holding onto for deer live. Enjoy.

My work Christmas party is over and our girl scout troop went Christmas singing tonight at the new Sunny brook home. After we were done singing we took the troop to Happy Joe's for pizza. I hope the girls enjoyed the night and learned to give to the older community starting by giving them some homemade Christmas cards they made.

This shows how fast the season is going. Before we know it it will be over and another year past. I had a meeting and if anyone wants Girl Scout cookies let me know. Morgan is going to be selling them for the first time.
Hope everyone is enjoying the Season.
